Bandol

A charming village in Provence, Bandol was a favourite haunt of the famous Lumière brothers and Marcel Pagnol, and is now the perfect place to relax in an inspiring, poetic setting.

Just a short distance from the mediaeval villages of La Cadière and Le Castellet, take the time to stroll through the vineyards and colourful markets of the Provencal countryside and enjoy its authentic charm.

Whether you prefer to walk, cycle or ride on horseback, take the opportunity to explore the Route de Crêtes between La Ciotat and Cassis, the ‘customs officers  route’, or the deep rocky inlets.

Around the water

A seaside resort since 1923, Bandol is the perfect holiday destination for all water sports enthusiasts: sailing, board sports, water-skiing… and parascending or water-microlighting for real thrill-seekers!

Renowned for the beauty and richness of its marine environment, Bandol is also a favourite destination for divers.

Back on shore, the white sandy beaches, tennis courts and golf courses set in magical landscapes are all bound to appeal.

Bandol wine-growing area

The Bandol wine-growing area consists of around 50 estates and was one of the first to be awarded AOC status, in 1941.
Set between the garrigue and the pine groves, the terraces or “restanques” are bathed in exceptional amounts of sunshine, helping to create a top-quality wine that is served in some of the world's greatest restaurants.
There’s no better way of exploring the Bandol wine route than stopping off at one of the many estates to taste some of their famous red, rosé or white wines.
